GEFRA In-House Exhibition 2023

After a long break due to Corona, many interested visitors from Germany and abroad came to the exhibition of the OPTISORT innovations in Friedewald in October.

Of particular interest were the new high-speed feeding systems for washers and nuts, with outputs of up to 1,200 parts/min. These and even higher outputs were already known for screw inspection systems, but for stamped parts and nuts the previous systems reached a limit at at 600 parts/min.

The system for forged parts and nuts with a part weight of up to 450 grams was another highlight. The large number of different types of parts with a height of 20 - 120 mm and different shapes, which were transported to the glass disk in the correct position using simple interchangeable parts in the feeding system, amazed the experts, as well as the easy operation of the system.

The possibilities and further development of our SFS technology were also of great interest. A system that is about to be delivered, specifically for checking the surface of stamped parts for finest scratches and grooves, impressed many visitors from this industry sector.

The topic of Deep Learning, which we were able to demonstrate with a LIVE demo to show the possibilities of this new technology with application in inspection systems, also generated the interest of the visitors. This is planned to be integrated into the systems in 2024.

Another demo showed the possibilities of coating inspection with the help of eddy current.

As always, the visitors physical well-being was also well taken care of everyone went back home afterwards with lots of news and also satiated.

The response on both days was exceptionally good, which is why we are planning another exhibition in 2024.

Detection of the finest cracks and scratches

Inspecting the surface for the smallest grooves and scratches, especially on an inhomogeneous surface, is a major challenge with conventional lighting and evaluation and usually leads to a high proportion of pseudo-scrap.

Check long pieces of pipe and flange nuts on a system

If the range of parts to be tested is a challenge, the GEFRA specialists demonstrate their skills.
